  • A few years ago I watched 3 young teen girls walking down the street together, each busily texting with others. No interaction between them. As an old fart who managed just fine w/o cell phones (until my 40's) it struck me as sad.

  • I have no quarrel with our Founding Fathers. They worked together, through significant disagreements, and established a set of Constitutional principles that have served the Country well. What I am concerned with is what we have become.

  • Many people are unhappy and many others angry and I'm not at all sure why that is. There are the sore losers. There are people opposed to evrything. There are some that can't accept a black, progressive, Democratic President.

  • Newsflash- Republican Presidents tend to nominate "Conservatives" and Democrats "Liberals". It is the job of the opposition to scrutinize everything ever said, written or done by the nominee and attempt to trash him/her, in hopes the nominee bows out, or the White House withdraws the nomination.

  • There are currently 47 Judges serving the 9th District. Whoever is nominated will be put under a microscope, and if Thomas is the nominee, then his record will be scrutinized and available for review. Until then, it might make sense to withhold judgement.

  • What do they call it in 2020? Big Ass Moose National Park? How very sad. I've enjoyed hiking to and on Glaciers in the Sierra and Alaska. Glacial fed lakes are extraordinarily beautiful. I'm sorry that my grandchildren will be less likely to experience glaciers.
